Carolanne Patterson is a multi-media artist, exhibiting nationally and internationally. She is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, a New York Foundation for the Arts grant for drawing, and a National Endowment for the Arts grant for sculpture. She is frequently involved in artist residency programs or as an invited guest artist to various institutions. Participations include: KulturModell, Passau Germany, CEC ArtsLink, Tbilisi, Georgia, NYU/New York City, NYU/Prague, The Ucross Foundation, Wyoming, The Fine Art Academy in Munich, The Hermit Foundation, Czech Republic, The Penland School, NC, and The Haystack school in Maine. She teaches design, digital technology, and metal-smithing, using skills associated with these techniques in her studio work. Patterson continues to teach and has held faculty positions at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Rhode Island School of Design, New York University, and CT State Middlesex.
