Carolanne Patterson is a multi-media artist living in New Haven, CT. She exhibits her work nationally and internationally, most recently in Washington, DC and Tbilisi, Georgia. As an educator, Patterson has held or continues to hold faculty positions in the art departments at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Rhode Island School of Design, New York University, and CT State Middlesex. She has participated in artist residency programs or as a guest artist with CEC ArtsLink, NYU/New York City and NYU/Prague, The Ucross Foundation, The Fine Art Academy, Munich, The Hermit Foundation, Czech Republic, The Penland School, NC, and The Haystack school in Maine. She is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship to Prague, a New York Foundation for the Arts grant (drawing) and a National Endowment for the Arts grant (sculpture). She teaches metal-smithing, design, and digital technology courses, using skills associated with these techniques in her studio work.
